SNAP stands for Stop Now And Plan.
It is an evidence-based behavioural model developed by the Child Development Institute. It provides a framework for teaching children struggling with behaviour issues, and their parents, effective emotional regulation, self-control and problem-solving skills. I had a chance to meet some of the amazing SNAP kids in Toronto and to photograph them, in their school. Some have successfully completed the program and keep coming every week to offer their help, others with more complicated situations are still under the Child Development Institute's watch.
